1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Unlypt ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with our applications and websites (collectively, the "Services").
By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Information Processed On Your Device
The core functionality of our applications is designed to run on your device. Unless otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, the following data is processed locally and is not transmitted to us. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Camera and microphone input: Video and audio from your camera and microphone are used for purposes such as tracking your face, hands, and body and rendering your avatar in real time. This data is processed on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
- Tracking data: Face, hand, body, and similar tracking results are computed on your device. When tracking data is used across your devices, it is transmitted only over your local network, directly between the devices you choose to connect.
- Media you create: Photos, videos, and other content you capture or create with our applications are saved to your device or to locations you choose, such as your photo library. We do not receive copies of them.
- Avatars, assets, and settings: Avatar files, images, and other assets you import, and the settings you configure, are stored on your device.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Account information
When you create an account to purchase or manage a subscription or license, we collect information such as your email address and authentication information. Authentication may be handled by a third-party identity provider. We store your subscription status, plan, and related license information associated with your account so that the Services can verify your entitlements.
3.2 Payment information
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers, such as payment processors and app store operators. We do not receive or store your full credit card number or bank account details. We may receive transaction records such as the product purchased, the purchase date, and a customer or transaction identifier.
3.3 Usage analytics and crash reports
Our applications may use third-party analytics and crash reporting services to help us understand how the Services are used and to diagnose problems. Information collected may include:
- Events describing how features are used (for example, which functions are opened)
- Device model, operating system version, application version, language, and region
- Crash logs, performance data, and diagnostic information
- Pseudonymous identifiers generated by the analytics services
This information is not linked to your name or email address. Camera images, audio, and tracking data are not included in analytics or crash reports.
3.4 Website analytics
Our websites may use third-party analytics services and cookies or similar technologies to collect information such as pages visited, referring sites, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser type, and device type.
3.5 Third-party services you choose to connect
Some features allow you to connect third-party services (for example, avatar hosting platforms) to the Services. When you do so, you authorize us to access your account with that service, typically through its authorization flow. Access tokens are stored on your device, and content is downloaded directly to your device. Your use of such third-party services is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
3.6 Network requests by the applications
Our applications may communicate with our servers or with third-party services, for example to check for updates, download resources, or verify licenses. The recipient of such requests receives standard connection information such as your IP address.
3.7 Support and contact
When you contact us through our contact form, by email, or by other means, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, and the content of your message.
3.8 Advertising
Some of our applications may display advertisements served by third-party advertising networks. These networks may collect information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, and device information to serve and measure advertisements, in accordance with their own privacy policies. Where required, we will ask for your permission before allowing such tracking, and you can change your choice in your device settings.
3.9 Other information
We may collect other information as described to you at the time of collection or with your consent.
4. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for purposes including to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services
- Display and measure advertisements in applications that show them
- Process purchases and verify subscriptions, licenses, and entitlements
- Understand how the Services are used and develop new features
- Diagnose and fix crashes, bugs, and performance issues
- Respond to your inquiries and provide support
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unauthorized use
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
- Fulfill any other purpose described to you at the time of collection or with your consent
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: With third-party service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as authentication, payment processing, analytics, crash reporting, advertising, hosting, and customer support, to the extent necessary for them to provide those services.

6. Data Retention
We retain account and purchase information for as long as your account exists or as needed to provide the Services and to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Analytics and diagnostic data are retained according to the retention settings of the respective services. Data processed on your device remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the application.
7. Your Choices and Rights
- Device permissions: You can grant or revoke permissions such as camera, microphone, photo library, and local network access at any time in your device settings. Some features will not work without these permissions.
- Diagnostic data: Your device's operating system may allow you to control whether diagnostic and usage data is shared with developers.
- Advertising: Your device's operating system may allow you to limit ad tracking or reset your advertising identifier, and to decline tracking requests from applications.
- Cookies: You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. This may affect the functionality of our websites.
- Withdrawing consent: You can withdraw your consent to the collection of analytics, diagnostic, or advertising data at any time by using the relevant device or application settings where available, or by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
- Account deletion: You can delete your account and associated data, or request that we do so, by using the account management features where available or by contacting us. We will process deletion requests without undue delay, subject to data we are required to retain by law. Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled from your account page or the app store through which you purchased them.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below.
8. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International Data Transfers
We are based in Japan. Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
